Body Balms, designed to moisturize hands, face, and body, contain an emollient which soothe and hydrate the skin. Johnny B. Dope Texture Gel, a '90s generation product originally made in 1997 and now back, is best described as a styling product that holds like a gel but is pliable like pomade. Styles and feels similarly to a gel without the "crunch," providing shine without looking greasy.

To use, rub between hands, apply evenly to wet or dry hair, and style as desired. For best results, blow-dry hair. It offers a hold of 8/10 and shine of 8/10, making it a half-gel, half-pomade for a gel's hold with none of the "crunch." It can mold difficult hair, straight or curly, to a precise yet effortless finish and is water-soluble to be washed out easily.
